Prof. Lee had put great emphasis on providing high quality medical service and training of residents, medical students and interns. She also focused academic development on the areas of dermatopathology, mycology, molecular genetics of genetic diseases, skin cancer, skin barrier function and physiology, and has built a sound basis for the continuous growth of the department. The succeeding chairmen have continued these traditions. The department quickly became one of the top-ranked dermatology departments in Taiwan.
II. Goals and missions The goals and missions of the department are (1) to provide modern and high quality care of patients with skin diseases, (2) to offer quality dermatology training for medical students and residents, (3) to provide tertiary referral service, (4) to offer medical education to the general public.
